About Swaw
Swaw stands for See What Actually Works.
We are building an AI cockpit for one-person studios:
Starting with networking and development environments, we are gradually turning industry-signal monitoring, content operations, bookkeeping and tax work, and other tedious tasks into reusable, automation-ready systems, so people can keep their attention on judgment and taste.
Current Status
The project is still early.
If you are also thinking about how independent people can organize their work as AI becomes part of the workflow, send me your concrete scenarios and questions. That feedback helps me shape the products more clearly.
The products that have already come out of this work are:
- Ruletab (In preparation): built for privacy-conscious users and people who work across multiple network environments. It supports per-app proxy routing, making network switching steadier and more controllable.
- Xvenv: spins up a zero-install development environment with one command, helping AI agents get to work faster while keeping
.envfiles and Git identities in order.
Why Me
I spent nearly eight years as a librarian, then moved into tech: network administration, DevOps automation, web scraping, and game startup work.
These experiences kept me focused on two things: how knowledge gets organized and reused, and how tools become smooth and reliable.
I also write fiction and make game mods. I am currently an independent worker based in Shenzhen, China.
Swaw did not start as an abstract product concept. I first built work systems for myself, then began productizing the parts that proved stable and reusable.
